How does Tadalafil work?
Tadalafil is a prescription medication used to treat erection. Tadalafil is a selective inhibitor of specific phosphodiesterase type 5 cyclic GMP. When sexual arousal causes the release of nitrogen oxide, the inhibiting of PDE5 by tadalafil leads to increase levels of cyclic GMP in the corpus cavernosum. As a result Tadalafil relaxes the smooth muscles of the arteries and enhances blood flow to the penis causing erection enough for the sexual intercourse.

Before taking Tadalafil
You should not take Tadalafil if any of these conditions apply to you:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the medication ingredients
- Women
- Men under 18 years of age
- Severe cardiovascular diseases including recent stroke and heart attacks
- Severe liver diseases
- Severe kidney diseases
- Blood diseases
Tadalafil should be used with caution in the following conditions:
- Vision disorders (blurred vision)

- Low or high blood pressure
- Priapism

How Tadalafil is taken?
You should take Tadalafil exactly as indicated by your physician. Do not exceed recommended dosages. Follow the directions of your prescription. The medication is taken orally with sufficient amount water swallowing whole. You should take the medication 60 minutes before sexual intercourse. Tadalafil works only in presence of sexual excitement.
What should I do if I miss a dose?
Tadalafil tablets are taken only when needed. Take the medication only 60 minutes before suspected sexual intercourse.
What should I do if I overdose?
The symptoms of overdose include: dizziness, hot flashes, severe headache, nasal congestion, priapism (prolonged erection).
Which Tadalafil side effects are possible while the treatment?
As with any drug, there are some side effects while may occur while taking Tadalafil. However, not everyone who takes Tadalafil will experience side effects. In fact, most patients taking Tadalafil tolerate it well. During clinical trials there were reported the following Tadalafil side effects:
- Headache
- Facial flushing
- Indigestion, known as dyspepsia
- Back pain
- Nasal congestion
- Muscle pain (known as myalgia)
- Pain in the arms or legs

How Tadalafil should be stored?
Tadalafil tablets should be stored at room temperature (18-25C). Protect from light. Do not store in the bathroom.
