How does Vardenafil work?
Vardenafil contains the active ingredient vardenafil which belongs to a group of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors. The inhibiting of PDE5 in the corpus cavernosum contributes to relaxation of the smooth muscles and enhances blood flow to the penis. Vardenafil causes erection satisfactory for the sexual intercourse.

Vardenafil is prescribed for the treatment of erectile in men over 18 years of age
Before taking Vardenafil
You should not take Vardenafil if any of these conditions apply to you:
- Hypersensitivity to any of the medication ingredients
- Women
- Men under 18 years of age
- Severe cardiovascular diseases including recent stroke and heart attacks
- Severe liver diseases
- Severe kidney diseases
- Blood diseases
Vardenafil should be used with caution in the following conditions:
- Vision disorders (blurred vision)
- Irregular heart rhythm
- Stomach ulcer
- Low or high blood pressure
- Priapism
- Anatomical deformations of the penis
Application during pregnancy and breastfeeding:
The medication is not intended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding
How Vardenafil is taken?
You should take Vardenafil exactly as indicated by your physician. Do not exceed recommended dosages. Follow the directions of your prescription. You should take the medication orally swallowing with sufficient amount of water. Vardenafil tablets should be taken 30 minutes prior the sexual intercourse.
Vardenafil tablets should not be chewed or crashed.
What should I do if I miss a dose?
Vardenafil tablets are taken only when needed. Take the medication only 60 minutes before suspected sexual intercourse.
What should I do if I overdose?
The symptoms of overdose include: dizziness, hot flashes, severe headache, nasal congestion, priapism (prolonged erection).
Which Vardenafil side effects are possible while the treatment?
As with any drug, there are some side effects while may occur while taking Vardenafil. However, not everyone who takes Vardenafil will experience side effects. In fact, most patients taking Vardenafil tolerate it well. During clinical trials there were reported the following Vardenafil side effects:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Back pain
- Facial flushing
- Indigestion or upset stomach
- Stuffy or runny nose (rhinitis)
- Inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis)
- Flu-like symptoms
- Accidental injury
- Increased levels of creatine kinase in the blood

How Vardenafil should be stored?
Vardenafil tablets should be stored at room temperature (18-25 C). Protect from light. Do not store in the bathroom.
